Euroconsulting was formed by the EC Group and the German Attorney Christoph von Kalckreuth in 2007. Euroconsulting is specialised in consulting and assisting corporate and private foreign investors solving all their possible problems during the time of their investments in South Africa.

Their Managing Director Christoph von Kalckreuth brings in ten years of experience in the mechanisms of foreign investments in South Africa. He started his South African career as an article clerk for a consulting firm in 1999. After he had received his admittance to the bar in Germany in 2001 he became the manager of their estate agency and head of several departments for company set-up, property, foreign exchange, tax and cash placement.

Over the years he has built up and excellent network supporting Euroconsulting to tackle the even most difficult problems investors can face in South Africa.

Euroconsulting is a registered agent of the Registrar of Companies and Close Corporations and therefore has direct access to their database and can submit any internal changes of companies and close corporations.

In addition to the registration of a business with the Registrar of Companies and Close Corporations Euroconsulting offers the registration of the business for Income Tax and possibly VAT (Value Added Tax), obtains Import and Export licences if applicable and registers their trademark.

Euroconsulting co-operates with all the major banks of South Africa including Investec Bank, Nedbank, ABSA Bank and FNB. The co-operation is very important for foreign exchange control purposes. In most cases foreign investments have to be registered with the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) to ensure that the foreign funds and the profit after a successful investment can be repatriated. With their special foreign exchange trading facility Euroconsulting can exchange foreign and local funds free of charge.

Euroconsulting is a Financial Services Provider and registered with the Financial Services Board of South Africa. The licence entitles them to invest clients' funds with their in house banking facilities of the Nedbank Corporate Saver and Investec Corporate Cash Manager. Also bank guarantees for property purchases can be provided, which gives further security to the investor as the payments are only done after the property transfer has taken place.

With the German background a high amount of clientele is recruited from German investors who are moving to South Africa or have been living here. Further clients are coming from all over Europe, Russia, neighbouring countries of Africa, the USA and UAE. Due to the fact that Christoph von Kalckreuth is a registered German Attorney he also represents several South African citizens in their legal matters in Germany.

As immigration is often a major hurdle for a foreign investor in South Africa, Euroconsulting provides Immigration Services directly and through registered Immigration Practitioners to ensure the best possible service for each and every residence permit.

Also local finance through the major South African Banks can be provided. Besides the general rule of local finance for foreigners only going up to 50% of the purchase price, Euroconsulting often achieves higher loan amounts at excellent interest rates.

Euroconsulting further assists with the applications for government grants. Certain investments will be supported with grants between 15% and 30% of the investment. Such programs are also open for foreign investors.

Euroconsulting should always be the first stop for a foreign investor coming to South Africa and guarantees absolute confidentiality.
